“POISONING PARADISE”
AND THE REVOLUTION TO SAVE HAWAI‘I
A New Documentary Film
Courageous activists face off against transnational agrochemical companies, demanding they stop poisoning Hawai’i.
This 58 minute documentary tells the story of BILL 2491, a radical new law that would protect the people on a small Hawaiian island from Restricted Use pesticides applied by agrochemical companies on thousands of acres of genetically modified seed crops across the island. What happens when Kaua‘i activists stand up to these multi-national, multi-billion dollar corporations is nothing short of a revolution that mobilizes a multi-generational political movement across the Hawaii and pits the people against modern day Goliaths in a showdown whose outcome is yet to be determined.
